The geometry of the Dupli.Casa is based on the footprint of the house that previously was located on the site, originally built in 1984 and with many extensions and modifications since then. The new building echoes the family archeology by duplication and rotation. Lifted up, it creates a semi-public space on ground level between two layers of discretion. The spatial configuration of the villa performs a sophisticated connection between inside and outside and offers spectacular views onto the old town of Marbach and the German national literature archive on the other side of the Neckar valley.

Villa in the forrest. The villa is located in the dune forest in Bloemendaal The Netherlands. The most important feature of the villa is the orientation to the surrounding nature. Volumes are rotated towards each other creating beautiful views into the forrest. The windows on the ground floor create the relation with the rabbit, on the first floor the views are straight into the trees where you can admire the squirrel, the third level raises from the tree level and you can enjoy the open sky with the birds. The relation with the outdoor space is not only visual but also physical. Bij shifting the building volumes from each other each room has a outdoor terrace.

Relatively inexpensive to build, this house provides a perfect sense of harmony with nature in a functioning family home. The design dissolves traditional barriers between indoors and outdoors and features a glazed south-facing double height space to take advantage of specular views across the valley. A simple cost-effective construction uses warm, natural materials that reflects the colours and textures of the surrounding landscape.

Kamil Mrva house

A new building destined for the living and business of the owner is designed on the slightly steep land of an ancient orchard. There are two objects which are connected by the entrance space. The outer character of the complex is designed from natural material: living area- raw concrete blocks, studio – wooden panelling, entrance– glass with aluminium frames. Roofing is designed as shed, partially lining the current form of the given area. The entrance area is complemented by a light wooden walk-through terrace.

Immediately after their graduation from the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague, the architects Boris Redcenkov and Prokop Tomasek founded the studio Atelier 69 - architekti in Cheb in 1994. In 1997, a third partner, the architect Jaroslav Wertig joined the team. As part of the completion of the Prague residential complex Villa Park Strahov, the studio expanded its efforts in 2000 to include an office in the capitol and to add new co-workers. In 2003, the original association Atelier 69 - architekti was transformed into the limited-liability firm A69 - architekti, s.r.o.
