Pebble by Osko and Deichmann
07/11/2011 [germany] [livingroom] [permalink]

Because of their strength, their concentrated power and their unchangeable qualities, stones are the symbol for wisdom and harmony. Using the ability of stones to relax the mind and provide energy, Pebble is the manifestation of a stone as a sofa, strengthening and harmonising the user in our hectic modern life. Its functional ornament, a wire frame enclosing the sofa, holds the cushions in place and creates a line-pattern often found on stones. The whole range consists of an easy chair, a two-seater, a three-seater and a footstool.

Tafel by E15

The table bench is available in solid wood and aluminium. The inside of the aluminium bench consists of a load-bearing framework covered with 3 mm (1/8 inch) thick aluminium sheet, suitable for outdoors. All components and the edges are welded and sanded by hand. The outside thickness of the walls of both versions is 66 mm (2 5/8 inch). The combination of table and bench creates a unique sitting experience, in private and public environments. With its sculptural appeal the HP01 TAFEL has been selected for various museum collections. For levelling the aluminium furniture is fitted with adjustable feet. In equal proportions but smaller measurements HP01 TAFEL is in its oak version also available for children.

Joco by Walter Knoll

Minimalist design for an individual lifestyle. The Joco Dining Table plays with area and space. The light base carries the slimline table top that both floats and provides stability at the same time. Modern minimalism featuring delicate stability. In black paint with a soft finish or in elegant wood veneers, the long table provides space to sit up to eight people.

NLC by Next
25/07/2011 [germany] [lighting] [permalink]

At a first glance, NLC perplexes with its positively striking and yet strangely puzzling appearance. Its special appeal lies in the seeming conflict between the chaotic and the organic. NLC draws its inspiration as much from the head of Medusa as from the finely trellised branches of a treetop. One of the reasons for the luminaire s attractiveness certainly stems from the fact that the design invisibly incorporates the light source. The white cover hides the light fittings and is easily adjusted to create the desired amount of illumination. Dimmable LEDs offer an additional option of controlling the level of brightness. Due to the E14 fittings NLC can be used either with LEDs or standard energy-saving lamps.

Peahi by Sophisticated Living
04/07/2011 [germany] [livingroom] [permalink]

The new sofa by Sophisticated Living. Peahi (pronounced pay-ah-hee) is a town on the northern coast of the island of Maui in the U.S. state of Hawaii. The name Peahi means "wave" in Hawaiian and is also the name given the giant waves that break just short of this seaside town. In particular in the harsh winter months. Our latest sofa model is also called "PEAHI" and it gathers its inspiration from no less than the first rays of the springtime sun. We created it to be modular, flexible and to offer excellent seating comfort. The model "PEAHI" contains four different foam layers, soft arm- and backrests, and is easy to combine. The standard size comes with three basic elements that you can combine to create any size of sofa landscape you please.

Tip Ton by Vitra
28/04/2011 [germany] [diningroom] [permalink]

Tip Ton defines a whole new chair typology: the solid plastic chair with forward-tilt action. Its name refers to the two types of sitting experiences that characterise the chair – from a normal position, Tip Ton can be tilted a few degrees forward where it then stays in place. The innovation behind this seemingly simple feature lies in the skids, which rise at a nine-degree angle. The forward-tilt sitting position, until now the preserve of mechanical office chairs, straightens the pelvis and spine and thus improves circulation to the abdominal and back muscles. Thanks to its striking appearance, Tip Ton is an outstanding dining table or home-office solution; it is also ideal for use in restaurants, conference and meeting spaces and educational institutions.
