Meet, a combined mobile seating unit/wastepaper basket, is designed not only to serve a practical purpose in the modern office, but also to encourage people to hold impromptu meetings and to promote teamwork. The product is easily maneuverable, allowing users to simply wheel their Meet to wherever they need it when, for example, they want to sit together in a temporary working group, work on a colleague s computer, or sit down and chat over a cup of coffee in the staff room.

Silestone Slab Vases by Form Us With Love
17/03/2012 [sweden] [decoration] [permalink]

Form Us With Love and Cosentino present a project exploring the quartz surface Silestone. Silestone Slab Vases were shown at the Form Us With Friends exhibition at the Swedish Museum of Architecture during Stockholm Design Week. The project aims to break away from the familiar Silestone slab form and explore the material s tactile dimension. The Slab Vases consist of rings of Silestone, which have been slipped over a metal bracket to create a sculptural vase. The rings vary in size and are cut so the shape of the vase changes with each assembly. The material is of Iberian origin, but Scandinavian sensibilities run through the Slab Vases project.

Sundial by Front
04/08/2011 [sweden] [accessories] [permalink]

A wall clock standing out from the wall for its candour and circular shape. A metal disk, 55 cm in diameter, with applied hours perpendicular to the top, which can be read through the shadow on the white surface: an unusual proposal which frontally stands out as a composition of parallel traits and laterally as an amusing superposition of numbers. Designed for Porro.

Daylight Entrance by Daniel Rybakken
06/06/2010 [sweden] [others] [permalink]

Interesting concept located in the entrance of an office building in central Stockholm. As both the entrance and staircase have no natural light, it was important to replicate the positive sensation of sunlight. The technical principles behind the project are based on Daniel's previous lamp, Surface Daylight. Walls are covered with a solid surface material; CNC-milling hollows areas before backlighting by LED. The installation consists of over 6000 LED and continues across 3 stories.
