Wildspirit
08/06/2010 [belgium] [others] [permalink]

The goal of Wildspirit is to convert renewing ideas into signature pieces. Its unique character, its multifunctional and the combined use of wood and leather are the soul of the collection. Wildspirit works with external designers like Michael Bihain, Twan Verlinden, Alain Berteau, Axel Enthoven and Erik Jansen. They were selected because of their similar philosophy to Wildspirit: an expedition for intelligent, aesthetic and durable design objects. Out of respect for their creative integrity, Wildspirit gives their designers carte blanche. The Wildspirit designers create their objects with a twist which gives the product a multifunctional goal. For this reason, all the signature pieces of Wildspirit can be integrated easily in multifarious interiors.

Daylight Entrance by Daniel Rybakken
06/06/2010 [sweden] [others] [permalink]

Interesting concept located in the entrance of an office building in central Stockholm. As both the entrance and staircase have no natural light, it was important to replicate the positive sensation of sunlight. The technical principles behind the project are based on Daniel's previous lamp, Surface Daylight. Walls are covered with a solid surface material; CNC-milling hollows areas before backlighting by LED. The installation consists of over 6000 LED and continues across 3 stories.

HT Lux by Sand & Birch
23/05/2010 [italy] [others] [permalink]

Sand & Birch continues its collaboration with Cantine Ellemme, and after the amazing releases of Winebag and Opale wine cellars - soon become cult objects for collectors - its time to introduce HT Lux, a rigorous and elegant parallelepiped in oak and maple wood, with stainless steel finishings, anti UV glasses, Led system lighting and a capacity for about 70 bottles lodged on removable shelves. As Winebag and Opale were a reflection about a revolutionary way to consider the wine cellar object and its aesthetic potential, HT Lux design is more traditional and classic, since it's part of a product range conceived for a wider target. But, at the same time, HT Lux wine cellar doesn't give up with the reasons that make the success of all Sand & Birch's creations: purity of lines, high class design, first choice materials, and the most modern technologies joined to the hand-made care of details and of the whole production process. HT Lux can fit every setting and complete with class and a modern touch hotels, restaurants and pubs' interior decoration and furnishings.

Paper is not a foldable table but a folded one. The simple table is made of aluminium and has been folded to gain a constructional strength. The table is 140x50 cm and is thought as a small console table for the private home or hotel rooms. The fact that it is made from aluminium makes it possible to anodize in a wide range of colours.
