Dear was originally founded in 1951 to specialise in designing and making children's bedrooms and other furniture systems for young people.
The company, which has a record of participating in thirty-five of the forty-two Salone del Mobile trade fairs in Milan, is situated in Inverigo in the province of Como, in the heartland of furniture production, where all the most important representatives of Italian furniture design are based.
